Twenty Days of Prayer #7

A Prayer For Those Who Struggle With Illness

Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed every kind of disease and illness.

Matthew 9:35 NLT

Great Physician, we seek your healing power. We bring before you those we love who are struggling with health issues, mental health issues, and life issues. We have faith that you are deeply aware of all of the pains and discomforts being faced by your children. We believe that you are able to heal. We know that you love and have compassion for your people. So we continue to bring names of the hurting before you.

At times, Father, we are uncertain as to why healing does not come. We do trust that we do not know what you know, nor do we comprehend all of your ways. Along with Apostle Paul, we hear your word that when we are weak, we are strong. In submission to your wisdom and strength, Father, we persistently but faithfully speak the names of those we desire to be healed.

Thank you, Lord, for those we know who have recovered, experienced healing. Thank you for those who are now with you who are totally healed in ways we cannot comprehend. Thank you, God, for listening, hearing, and acting.
