Our Father in Heaven, we praise your Holy Name! This week we have been praying for Your church. We are so blessed to be a part of your Family. Thank you that we have the opportunity to gather today and sing praises to your name … to magnify the name of Jesus. We pray that everyone on earth would bow down to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Thank you Jesus for your teachings, your love, your sacrifice, your resurrection, your power, your reign in our hearts today. We depend on you for our very lives. We confess we lose sight of this as individuals, and as a church. Without you we would be adrift in this world. Thank you for being the True North on our compass, showing the way. Whatever we need most in this life, Jesus, You Are…
You Are the bread of life that fills our souls and satisfies our spiritual thirst (John 6:35).
You Are our light that leads us through the dark places and brings life and joy to our hearts (John 8:12).
You Are the entry into salvation and peace … thank you for opening the way for us to be with you forever (John 10:9).
You Are our Good Shepherd in every way, even willing to lay down your life for us (John 10:11).
You Are Resurrection and Life … we believe in you and we know that because of you we will never die! (John 11:25-26)
You Are our only way to the Father, You Are the only truth that matters, You Are the life that we cannot find on our own (John 14:6).
You Are the source of life and power and without you we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Thank You Jesus! We need you more than we need to be right. Would you grow stronger than our convictions, be more present than our ego. We magnify you above our traditions and our ways, knowing your ways are higher and better.
We desire to make your name famous in our community and we desire to fade into the background allowing YOU to be seen. Because You Are!
We love you and we need you … we submit to you and we magnify you.
Only through the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus can we bring this prayer to the Creator … and we do so boldly …. seeking grace in our time of need.
