This weekend Forsythe Church of Christ will be hosting the MISSIONAL OUTREACH SEMINAR. I am very excited to have James Nored come to our place and share his knowledge on reaching out to the culture that surrounds us. James is minister for the High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas. He also operates the Missional Outreach Network – an interactive social networking site dedicated to outreach.
This free seminar will take place Friday night and Saturday morning. You are invited to participate. It would be great if I knew ahead of time that you were coming so we could have appropriate refreshments. (You can RSVP by creating a free account at Missional Outreach Network website and going to our event page HERE.) The schedule is below. Following that are a few thoughts about what I hope this will accomplish.

There will be breaks in between sessions, times for small group discussions, collecting ideas from each other about how to put the principles into practice.
So what can be accomplished by this? I hope that when this seminar is over we will have to schedule a follow up session to implement some new ministries at Forsythe. I hope it causes us to question our current ministries about their effectiveness and their mission. I hope it brings me and others present to repentance so that we can make real changes in our lives to meet the mission of Christ in our lives.
What will happen? Only God knows…but He does know!
