I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”  … I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  ~ Psalm 16:2, 8

We must continually train our heart to believe that we have no good without God. He is not only the good part of the religious segment of our life. And it is not just that He is good.  He is all the good we can know.

Advertisements have bombarded us with all the things this world can offer us as ‘good‘. Good beer, good movies, good cars, good food, good books, good … well everything an advertiser wants you to buy is good.

Like Jesus in the wilderness being tempted with all the kingdoms of the world, we must see past the glitter and neon to the truth.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor; and he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! for it is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.’” ~ Matthew 5:8-10

We have no good apart from the Lord.

Therefore, Keep The Lord always before you and at your right hand. Never be moved from that blessing.
