Friday on the Coast

Greetings Friends! This is the last Friday ane we will soon head into August. What speed 2007 has accumulated! Time goes by faster as you get older, I hear. I guess we could ask Gary Kirkendall, who turns 50 today. Happy Birthday Gary! Most of my friends are older than me. That’s just an observation.

Yesterday I went out to Gulf Coast Bible Camp and visited with some good folks from the Gateway Church of Christ in Pensacola. Danny Dodd and I sat down and recorded a podcast that you can listen to HERE. I hope you’ll enjoy it … and listen with a grin on your face! Of course for the millions of listeners who already subscribe to my podcast, it’ll be awaiting you on your iPod next time you sync up.

I received my thirteen John Piper books yesterday in the mail. Remember a month or so ago he had a sale and sold all of his books for $5 bucks each! What a bargain! Now reading them…that will be a slower process. I think I read on his website that they sold 120,000 + books. That’s a clearance sale!

I had a long talk with Garvis Seymore today on the phone. Garvis is President of Magnolia Bible College. We haven’t had a chance to visit in a while and so I enjoyed that. He told me that he reads the blog, so I wanted to send a shout out to him!

Terry Rush on the future of the Church of Christ.

Evidently I’m making my friends fat. Sorry!

Ray Hawk’s got a few new posts.

I hope you have a great weekend! I may post something here…but if you’re using Google Reader or another blog digger, you’ll know it! The rest of you just have to come check in from time to time!

Thanks for stopping by!
