Compendium: A list or collection of various items.

The crew from Dalton, Georgia left early this morning for home. Ross Jordan outdid himself last night. He is so hyper and in love with Jesus. What a joyful night it was! There are no relief workers the rest of this week or next week.

Today I drove over to Biloxi and spent the morning and early afternoon with my friend who lives in the VA Extended Care Unit there. We drove around Biloxi running errands and talking nonstop. It was a great way to spend a good part of my day.

Tonight we watched The Devil Wears Prada. It was an enjoyable movie with a good point to be made about values and integrity… failing in both … and seeing the results so that restoration can be made.

Thanks for the healthy and hearty comments on my last post. Good conversation on a needed subject.

PLEASE read Al Sturgeon’s comments on the VT shooting. I enjoyed a great conversation with him this afternoon. Bobby Cohoon urges prayer for the family of the killer. This is also appropriate. In my opinion NBC ought to be heavily fined for releasing the video and some of the pictures of Cho Seung-Hui. I’m not the only one who feels that way. Seeing the pictures of the victims … heartbreaking. A Campus Minister reflects on the tragedy. What does this horrible tragedy do to the psyche of the nation?

My presentation at the Tulsa Workshop is now up on my podcast page HERE

Enjoy Houston Heflin’s video posted HERE.

I hope you’ll take a few moments to head over to the Hearts With Hope MySpace site. There is an amazing story there that I will let you read … it relates to the song that plays when you go there. Friend, Sister, and Coast Celeb Rochelle Harper wrote the words and music. Gary Boswell, one of our elders, played all the instruments except the drums on the track. It is a beautiful song with a fantastic background.
