If you’re paying attention to my blog (yes, both of you) … you’ve likely noticed that it’s been overrun by Amazon Kindle links. There are a couple of things going on here!
I’m reading through the Bible in 90 days. Don’t ask me how it’s going, I am far enough behind that I may not catch up. But I’m going to try – and I’m going to finish the race. I just may not be in first place. This relates to my blog because I was posting some thoughts from Jud Wilhite’s TORN. I will return to this, but right now most of my spare reading time is taken up with that Bible reading goal. (This also applies to my Tumblr blog where I was reviewing still another book).
In addition to that, I’ve been in the habit of posting great finds for Amazon Kindle. I love my Kindle Fire and I especially love finding free books that look interesting. So instead of just cross posting all those links, I decided to just keep them here where they can be found in one place.
I have set up an affiliate program and I do get a tiny percentage of any purchases. I hope to offer some book give-a-ways here on the blog in the future with the earnings! I got that idea from my friend Matt Dabbs. In fact, there have been enough ‘click throughs’ in the past few weeks that I expect to be able to offer a free book when the calendar turns to July. Be watching for that.
So that’s what’s going on with the blog. It is possible no one was asking, but I feel better having expressed my heart into the cosmos. If you have a Kindle, I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am mine!
Thanks for reading,
John
I have 2 Kindles! One is named Beloved Kindle and the other is The Fire. Every time we leave the house, Mr. Riley asks, “Do you have your Kindle?” I don’t need it but he treats it like my pacifier. If we get in a situation in which I might get a little restless, he wants me to be able to comfort myself! :)
hahaha That’s funny!
Hey, I’m loving it. I don’t own any Kindles, but I use the Kindle apps all the time. Most of my reading is done now through Kindles, and many of the books I’ve found lately have been found via Mr. John Dobbs.
That’s awesome Tim!
I like the coffee cup! :)
lol jel!
I have a Kindle and love it. Downloaded the NES and love having it handy. Have also downloaded a couple of the free books you mentioned. :)
Glad to point out the freebies… and I love to get them!
