When October Goes

I’ve always loved this song. It resonates with me even more these days.

And when October goes
The snow begins to fly
Above the smokey roofs
I watch the planes go by

The children running home
Beneath a twilight sky
Oh, for the fun of then
When I was one of them

And when October goes
The same old dream appears
And you are in my arms
To share the happy years

I turn my head away
To hide the helpless tears
Oh how I hate to see October go

I should be over it now I know
It doesn’t matter much
How old I grow
I hate to see October go

Thanks for reading,

John

I have always *loved* this song… you are the only other person I’ve ever heard mention it. I’m not aware of anyone else I know who is familiar with it.

that reminds me of another song, maybe the prequel to this one.

Very reflecting…October is a month I sometimes like to see come to an end, but this gives me a different perspective, thanks bro!

Oh, how beautiful! I’m always very melancholy in October. It’s my birthday month. The leaves turn their beautiful colors. The air ‘changes’. What’s not to love about October….I always have hated to see it go. This is the first time I’ve heard this song! How appropiate.
